The Centre will also house Denis Goldberg’s “Life is Wonderful” art collection of over 200 pieces, mostly by South African and African artists, and a large collection of books on art, music CDs and documentary videos.

This will add significantly to the tourism potential of the museum. Tourism is a growth industry for places like Hout Bay.

Denis Goldberg is one of two surviving Rivonia Trialists. He has incurable lung cancer and is undergoing treatment. His wish is to create and realise, while he is alive, an Art and Culture Education and Training Centre for the Youth of Hout Bay and for greater Cape Town.
